                                  Botoxu or Botulinum toxin works 3-4 months. Some patients feel it works a little longer. Others feel it works 2.5 months. Most people are in between. Patients are told to expect three months though some people feel it lasts two and half months. Then if it lasts longer they are happy. The cosmetic use of botox is safe. There have never been any deaths or permanent effects. A droopy eyelid occurs when botox infiltrates into the muscle that lifts the eyelid. It can happen to inexperienced and experienced injectors alike. It is probably more likely in an inexperienced injector's hands.... more
